Do you read up all the written and audio summaries people posted online before buying a book? π I find this process important because in my early years of employment I either buy books based on what my seniors recommended or it has a great title, cover design and preface.
Ofcourse going through summaries will never be the same as reading for yourself, thereβll be subtle hints the author and editors trying to plant here and there building up into a main chapter or a punchline or a climax/anti-climax.
Audiobook review commentary usually performed by really experienced podcasters that tap their insights as well as making comparisons to similar books written within the genre whether its for career development or fictional lore – its a good dose of weekend listening.
I wish I had the time to read up chapters at bookstores as I did during school and university days but articles and audio summaries will need to make do these days juggling between career, personal projects and family duties.
