It was a different month of May this year for me.
I stopped hiking and writing for about couple of weeks (this was expected due to Ramadhan) but restarting previous routine feels both weird and familiar at the same time.
My legs thanks to muscle memory just brings me from point A to B on my daily trail without noticing the environment and feels hiking alone (someimes scary) at 6 something am. I did the usual trail about eighteen minutes today and I think my best was around under sixteen.
My mind however, struggles to churn these words I’m trying to convey – I guess writing and hiking utilizes different areas of the brain (I’d have to confirm that later) – suddenly I recalled the preparations I used to have last August when I started back blogging, topical planning, benchmarking other sites while looking inward for originality.
I always believed that we need to start doing before we get good at anything but I forgot the inertia of re-starting something, Newtonian law number one and three, a body remains at rest unless acted upon a net external force and for every action there’s an equal opposite reaction – explains it all.
My gosh it feels good to be able to hike and write again. Thank you for arriving at this sentence so far, I doubt many would since its more personal and non-technical or functional.
Let’s get back to work, TTYL.
