The Significance of Celebrating Small Wins

My second born is the one in the middle.

Yesterday we had the opportunity to attend a mini-convocation held for my six year-old pre schooler and his batch.

The group performances by these children were funny and cute but at the same time shows how much training and coordination teachers put into the prior weeks.

Events like this help us celebrate tiny victories and create memorable moments that anchor into the childs subconscious as happy and proud points in their lives.

It is important to build confidence in children especially in ones as timid as my second born, seeing him practicing at home to memorize dance steps and singing is signs of a positive reinforcement no matter how silly they look sometimes.

Working in a team is also something that I’m looking towards to for him because he needs to understand very early on that ‘the whole is greater than the sum of the parts’ [Aristotle] with synergy and teamwork.

By celebrating these small wins we can help build resilience, as children learn to persevere through challenges and setbacks while still acknowledging their progress.

Here’s to more dances and celebrations in the future, if God wills it.

Cheers 🥂 MFR
