If you are like most people and me, most likely at least once stuck in an unfavorable situation for a period of time. Exhausted of options, tied down by commitments and unable to stretch your resources – so what will you do?
Do you accept your fate and surrender/submit to the daily grind?
Or you can start changing your narrative by:
1. Define the problem that you are stuck in, (1) having to take care of family members, (2) need to pay rent for a sibling that’s still studying or whatever – write them down.
2. Examine why you are doing what you are doing the way you are doing it now.. (1) Why only you are taking care of family since you still have other siblings, extended families – why not rotate? (2) College students can work part time, can you split the rent 30:70 with the younger sibling?
3. In your mind and on writing you re-write your subconscious by coming up with statements like; I’m getting help to come out from this situation by including.. by doing.. by eliminating.. because I need to achieve [what] by [when].
With the help of others, my spouse especially I have been feeling better using the above steps to change my narrative for the past 3 months. It worked for me, it might work for you too because I decided to try and put into practice what someone else wrote sometime ago.
